What to Expect After You Have Registered

Fall Ball

(It is safe to assume the Fall season is the end of August until the end of October. We also have players play up in the division they will be playing in the next Spring. Fall Ball is all about learning the new division and the game in general! It is a more laid back experience. We expect to have smaller teams to allow for more playing time.)

1. Once the Fall season registration has closed, you should get a call/email from your new coach. Please answer calls from any unknown numbers during this time.

2. Before games start your coach will be given a practice day during the week and a practice on the weekend. We leave these time slots up to your coach to pick. We will not know these days until after the coaches meeting.

3. After games start, it is safe to assume you will have one field practice/week going forward. Common areas and batting cages are first come/ first serve. Though in the  Fall we may be able to keep both practices to allow for more learning.

4.What you need for practice:
a. Softball
     i.  Glove
   ii. Cleats
iii. Bat (USA marked)
    iv. Helmet with Face Mask
   v. Face Mask for the Field
  vi. Practice Pants

b. Baseball
       i. Glove
    ii. Cleats
   iii. Bat (USA marked)
    iv. Helmet
   v. Practice Pants
          vi. Hat
       vii. Cup

5. Shortly after contacting you, your coach will gather you uniform sizes. For the Fall, uniforms consist of a Hat and Jersey. You will be responsible for your own game pants.

6. For practice and games, we ask that you keep your coach informed if you are not able to make it. Coaches spend their time at home creating/thinking about practice plans and lineups. It is nice to know who will not be at the scheduled event when it happens. If you're going to be late, also let the coach know.

7. We try to stick to a Monday/Tuesday/Thursday schedule but can vary depending on the number for players who register. During the week, game times will vary but we try to begin at 5:45PM with the next game following shortly after. Our 4u group may start at 5:30PM to allow them to get home earlier.  Full season schedules will be provided to coaches a week prior to games but everyone will know well in advance when the first planned game will be. You can see your schedule on our website under the CALENDAR menu link.

8. Game times by Division:
4u -   45 minutes (2 times through the lineup)
6u -   1 hour - 3 innings. Outs are kept on batted balls. No strike outs. 3 outs per inning.  7 runs per inning max.
8u -   No new inning after 1 hour 15 minutes or 6 innings - 5 runs per inning max
10u - No new inning after 1 hour 20 minutes or 6 innings - 5 runs per inning max
12u - No new inning after 1 hour 30 minutes or 6 innings - 7 runs per inning max
14u - No new inning after 1 hour 40 minutes or 6 innings

9. The season ideally will end with a single elimination end of season tournament. We leave this up to coaches though sometimes in the Fall the weather comes into play and the season ends after the regular season games. 4u and 6u will be provided medals or trophies on their last regular season game. For 8u and up, we do not provide trophies in the Fall.
