How We Form Teams

(To make teams equal going forward, the BSAA Board is adding in a new rule once players reach player pitch)

10u, 12u, and 14u Divisions
1. The BSAA Board has decided going forward that we will disperse the players in the player pitch divisions as evenly as possible according to age. We will no longer be going solely off coach requests and schools.

2. Once a team hits 11 players, we will cap them until other teams reach at least nine players.

Example scenarios
a. If there are eighteen 10 year olds and forty 9 year old for six teams, each team would get three 10 year olds and the rest of their team would be 9 year olds.
b. If a coach has six 10 year olds and six 9 year olds request them, we will only allow them to keep eleven of those players. Once all teams reach at least nine players, we would be able to give them that twelfth player.

We believe that implementing this rule will allow for a more competitive and fair experience, even out pitching, allow for more leadership, and encourage post season play across our 10u, 12u, and 14u divisions.

The top 15 players during the season will be asked to play on the All star team for each age group.

4u, 6u, and 8u Divisions
These divisions will be formed by:
1. Coach requests
2. Attending School
3. Evening out ages to be competitive with other teams.
